Plain Jane to Lux Master Bathroom Remodel

Exchanging a small linen closet for a large walk in shower with a Kohler rain head and the boring shower/tub combo for a freestanding Kohler bathtub, both with extensive tile work, was a no brainer for the homeowners of this Snohomish home built in 2002. Their home is a wonderful place and in a fantastic location, but the plain Jane finishes and odd use of space was beginning to wear on them.  “What’s up with the dance floor?!” was the general consensus.

By removing the single sink vanity and replacing it with a custom-built cherry vanity with charcoal stain and Shaker style doors, the space was given warmth along with an amazing amount of storage, additional sink, and just the right amount of counter space achieving the luxurious flavor of this spa-like oasis.

What We Love

The gorgeous backlite (the ultimate night light) tile backdrop perfectly frames the freestanding tub with a Loure wall mounted bath spout by Kohler is like a piece of artwork. In addition, the use of the CeasarStone Quartz, Ocean Foam, on the counter, framing the linear tile backsplash, and in the shower, as both the shampoo niche shelves and the corner bench.

Our Favorite Detail

Pull out shelves and drawers in the cherry linen cabinet and under the vanity sinks maximize storage and ease of use. The outlets inside the vanity keep charging stations for toothbrushes and shaving implements out of sight and the use and storage of hair dryers and flat irons easypeasy.
